Beginning his career in utility powerline clearance, he progressed to forest management, invasive plant control, and holistic tree care. Industry Involvement/Awards

I have been involved in the tree care industry for over 15 years. I was an ISA Certified Arborist for 11 years before becoming an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist. I have also been a Vermont licensed applicator for over 10 years in both Forestry and Ornamental/Shade Tree. I have a wide variety of industry experience including prescribing and carrying out tree preservation and pruning, integrated pest and disease management, technical tree removal, invasive plant control, silviculture, tree selection and planting. I especially enjoy caring for veteran trees.

Why did you become an arborist?

I grew up with organic farming and have always loved being outside and operating various equipment and caring for living things. I entered the tree industry through utility powerline clearance, making a natural progression to forest management and invasive plant control, and then to technical tree removal, holistic tree care and preservation, tree biology and pathology.

Customer Service Philosophy:

I understand the importance of good communication. I continually challenge myself and view each consultation as an opportunity to learn clients' goals and priorities, then establish the best scope of work and approach for each individual client, property, and tree. My primary goal is to earn repeat business and referrals rather than to sell any particular service. I also prioritize selecting the most environmentally sensible and effective options for each situation.

Personal:

I enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, cycling, and spending time with my wife, 2 children, and dogs.

Fun Fact:

I am a volunteer firefighter and EMS first responder and enjoy giving back to my community.
