Qualifications:

Caroline has been working in tree care for the last 15 years. She started as an office assistant in a tree care company, and as her knowledge increased, so did her passion for the green industry. Caroline worked her way up into becoming an arborist and now enjoys helping clients meet their tree care needs.

Personal:

Caroline is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, home of NASA and our space program! She loves watching SEC football (Roll Tide!). She has a wonderful husband and two great children. Her daughter lives in Philadelphia, where she’s a fire fighter and her son lives in Houston, where he is an engineer.

Why She Became An Arborist:

“I come from a long line of gardeners. Both of my grandmothers and mother were great gardening teachers. I have extensive gardens at my home, and I’m frequently on garden tours. After entering the tree care industry, my horticultural passion has expanded to include trees and their unique care”

Customer Service Philosophy:

“I treat my customers as I would like to be treated – with respect, and interest in my concerns. I try to be a good listener and hopefully I can educate them about their trees and the care they need to live a long and healthy life.”

Community Involvement:

Caroline is very active in her church, Jeffersontown United Methodist where she serves as The Chairman of the Administrative Board and finance committee. She’s also been on The City Council of her community for more than 20 years!

Observations in the Field:

June 27, 2024

Mark Cissell is using an airspade to do a root excavation on a client’s declining weeping Alaskan cedar. Excavation showed that this tree was planted in pure gravel. We added compost and did an arborkelp plus root stimulant application. Looking forward to significant improvement in this tree’s health!

It’s bagworm season! SavATree can protect your valuable evergreens from this hungry pest. Reach out to us before it’s too late!

June 27, 2024

Spotted a dinner plate-sized hibiscus in a client’s yard. Nothing says summer like a hibiscus in bloom!

April 2024

As arborists, we’re taught to look for hazards and obstacles for our crews. But who can predict that buzzards would decide to make a client’s pine trees their home before we get there to work??

April 2024

Cool pictures of an ash tree ” foaming “. Trees can do this in early spring when there’s a lot of moisture (rain!) And internal pressure from sap flow. This event lasted for exactly one day— here today, gone tomorrow!

Even trees can grow warts!

Very cool picture of parthenolecanium scale (fruit lecanium) on a weeping bald cypress. SavATree plant health care services can help with this insect and many others!

Evergreen Pruning, Louisville Kentucky

September 2, 2021 – Winter is a perfect time to prune evergreen trees and shrubs. If done in December, trimmings can be used as holiday decorations. SavATree will prune your trees properly (not like in this picture!). Pruning improves tree structure and can prevent damage from snow and ice. Call us today for an appointment with your local Arborist.

Trees and wildlife, Shelbyville KY

September 1, 2021 – Not all dead trees need to be removed. Many are used by wildlife. This American eagle was perched in this tree near a horse farm outside Shelbyville. Days like this make my job really fun!!!
