Soil Analysis

Cultivating healthy soil is the foundation for a thriving lawn. A professional laboratory analysis of soil samples from your property will reveal key factors such as nutrient content, organic matter percentage, pH levels, and compaction. Maintaining proper soil balance is essential for strong root development and optimal turf health. Our arborist will also walk your property with you to inspect the turf conditions first-hand and discuss your priorities.

 

Seasonal Treatments

Great results require attention to detail and proper timing. Once we’ve analyzed your soil, we build an integrated program that begins with balanced, slow-release fertilizers applied at optimal times to encourage steady, healthy growth.

 

Weed Control Treatments

The Integrated Lawn Care program includes preventive crabgrass treatments, and selective spot treatments for broadleaf weeds where needed, based upon seasonal timing. Programs can be customized to include select treatments for diseases and insects such as grubs, mites, and mole crickets.

 

In the Spring

Targeted soil nutrition applied in the spring promotes early green-up, increases root and shoot density, and enhances turf vigor to fortify and prepare your lawn for the challenges of summer heat and drought.

 

In the Summer

Summer applications promote root expansion and storage of carbohydrates in the grass plants. Healthy roots can better absorb water – especially important during hot, dry summer weather.

 

In the Fall

Fertilization performed early in the fall season will help turf recover from summer conditions while improving grass color, thickening the lawn, and feeding the plants as they develop new growth. Nutrition applied later in the fall helps maintain the lawn’s color and thickness, while stimulating root growth that will be the foundation of next year’s lawn. This healthier, thicker lawn will also help reduce the weed competition that happens during the fall, resulting in a greener lawn in the spring.
